Active 20-30 of Greater Sacramento #1032
- Who they are: Active 20-30 is a non-profit organization that provides adults between the ages of 20 and 39 with an opportunity for personal growth, friendships, and leadership development while improving the quality of life for the special needs of children in our communities.

American Cancer Society (ACS)
- Who they are: The American Cancer Society is on a mission to free the world from cancer. Until they do, they’ll be funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention. All so patients and survivors can live longer — and better.
- My personal involvement: Spotlight Speaker at VIP Reception, Top 10 Fundraiser for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Sacramento, Cancer Action Network (CAN) Volunteer, Legislative Advocate
Breast Cancer Prevention Partners (BCPP) (Formerly known as the Breast Cancer Fund)
- Who they are: For 25 years, BCPP has been the leading science-based policy and advocacy organization working to prevent breast cancer by eliminating our exposure to toxic chemicals and radiation. Their focus is on the intersection of breast cancer prevention and environmental health.
- My personal involvement: Volunteer, Legislative Advocate
Front Street Animal Shelter – Sacramento
- Who they are: The Front Street Animal Shelter provides animal welfare services for the City of Sacramento, including but not limited to:
- Transporting sick or injured stray animals
- Rescuing animals locked inside hot vehicles and from abusive, cruel, or negligent conditions
- Impounding stray dogs, whether they are friendly or aggressive, that roam freely on the street, on public property, or at a citizen’s residence
- Helping citizens resolve nuisance problems, such as dogs barking excessively
- Investigating dog and cat bite complaints
- Educating pet owners on the importance of spaying or neutering their dogs and cats
More importantly, they keep lost pets safe and sound so that they can hopefully be reunited with their owner or adopted into a new family.

Metavivor
- Who they are: METAvivor is dedicated to the specific fight of women and men living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. At the time of METAvivor’s founding, no organization was dedicated to funding research for the disease and no patient groups were speaking out about the dearth of stage 4 cancer research. While more and more people have taken up the cry for more stage 4 research, METAvivor remains the sole US organization dedicated to awarding annual stage 4 breast cancer research.

Women in Technology International (WITI)
- Who they are: WITI was founded to help women advance by providing access to – and support from – other professional women working in all sectors of technology. WITI started in 1989 as The International Network of Women in Technology and, in 2001, evolved into The WITI Professional Association, the world’s leading trade association for tech-savvy women. Today, WITI is the premiere global organization empowering women in business and technology to achieve unimagined possibilities.

- Who they are: Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the premier organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer.
